what's new?

  • I completed my Associates of Visual/fine Arts in May 2011 from Kansas City Community College. 
  • While at KCKCC, I won 3rd place in the literary magazine for a poem in 2010, and 2nd place in the literary magazine for a short story in 2011.
  • My painting "Is this the Smoking Room?" was also chosen to be published in the 2011 magazine. 
  • I also participated in the student art show at the West Wyandotte Library in both 2010 and 2011. 
  • Also while at KCKCC, I published a children's book called "A String on the Moon" through my Children's Literature class.  A copy was purchased and presented to the Dean.
  • In 2011 and 2012, I won 1st place in the adult division of the Johnson County Library Bookmark Contest.
  • I have 2 upcoming art shows in 2012: April 16-May 13 for the Kansas City Kansas Public Library Main Library, and a show in Dec. for the West Wyandotte Library
  • For the 2011-2012 school year, I will be voluntarily teaching art for the Andover eCademy (similar to the art program that we provided for Morris Elementary).
